Went back to the Dr. Again today. She said I was fine but took a urine and blood sample to be sure. My liver stuff was odd back in April, and they want to check it again.
We went fishing for fluke after I got back home. We caught (in the bay) 2 shorts, 2 keepers, and 2 skates. I have never seen skates in the bay before. Michael said it is probably because the water is still so cold that they came in from the ocean. It has been like at least a month behind in the weather around here. We could use some sunshine.
Marina caught 2 fish, I caught both skates and Michael caught 2 fish. I forgot my camera so I can't post any pictures in my Photo Blog. Next time.
Michael fillet the fish and I fried them in batter with a salad, lima beans and frenchfries. What a big meal for us.
Marina lost another bottom tooth today. It had been loose and dangling for a while. We'll see what the Toothfairy brings her.
I bagged and filed all my loose comics yesterday. I have over 18 boxes full. Sheesh. I worked "in the box" a bunch yesterday too. Put the sewing machine away. Time to give that a pause. I still have to make my kimono-shita , but I have to get some other things done first.

Hamha!!!
Ok, I got too many complaints on my last layout (Goemon infront of the moon). So I decided to try something simpler.
I have one like this for Goemon too. This setup will be easy to change too.
The first three links on the right are things you can download. Well the first two are individual things. The third is the folder with those and more YuYu Hakusho stuff in it.

Totally Ratz!!
I went for my follow up at the Dr. today and my bladder infection is worse than before. No wonder my back hurts. I thought I had hurt myself doing something like lifting or something. Anyway , the Dr. who saw me gave me the same perscription but 2 pills a day for three days and I have to go back on Sunday.
I've been browsing the blogs, I think I need a new layout (code for a new background and colors) and some other tweaking. Well redecorating your blog is easier than redecorating the house.
I'm going to update my photo blog tonight too. That could use another layout too. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Listening to Yu Yu Hakusho music right now.

Last Night was the First Grade Play "Snow White". Marina was slated to play one of five wicked witches. Well she walked into the auditorium in tears and even before her turn on stage came she had melted down so far that I had to take her away from the other students so she wouldn't disturb them. She refused to return to her place or to go on stage when her turn came. To sum up, it was a crashing failure. None of the other 75 children had any trouble and they did a very good job. Michael was beyond annoyed. Oh well.

I was downoading some YuYu Hakusho music yesterday. This is my new favorite song.
Forever Dreamer
Today I must work "INSide" the box. Michael says some people can't work outside of the box. I'm one of the few people who work ok outside of the box but can't work inside of the box. Exercise then clean. Bladder still feels funny.

Was listening to this earlier. I never knew all the lyrics so I looked it up. Gosh it is hot.
TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT
Greasy, slicked down body, groovy leather trim
I could lay ya on the road, mama, it ain't no sin
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
Ooh, trouble-free transmission, watch your oil explode
Mama, let me pump your gas, mama, I'm gonna do your oil
Talkin' 'bout love, huh
Talkin' 'bout love, ooh
Talkin' 'bout
Take my heavy metal underneath your hood
Baby, I could work all night, believe I've got the perfect tools
Talkin' 'bout lo-oo-ove
Talkin' 'bout lo-oo-ove
Talkin' 'bout
Automobile club-covered, really built in style
Specialist tradition, mama, I'm gonna feast my eyes
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
Factory air-conditioned, wind begins to rise
Guaranteed to run for hours, mama, I need brand new tires
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
Groovin' on the freeway, blazes on the railin'
From now on my gasoline I believe I'm gonna crack your head
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
I can't stop talkin' about
I can't stop talkin' about
Ooh, yeah-ee-yeah, yes, ah, drive on
(Keyboard Solo)
Ooh, yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yes, I'm comin' through
Come to me for service every hundred miles
Baby, let me check your points, fix your overdrive
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
Ooh, yes, fully automatic, comes in any size
Makes me wonder what I did before I got synchronized
Talkin' 'bout lo-ooo-ove
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout
Ooh, feather-light suspension, coils just couldn't hold
I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors
Talkin' 'bout love
Talkin' 'bout lo-oo-oh-ove
Talkin' 'bout
Ah yeah, ah yeah
Oh, I can't stop talkin' about love
I can't stop talkin' about love
Ooh, let me goin down, goin down, go in down, goin down, goin down, down yes
I can't stop talkin' about
I can't stop talkin' about lo-oh', baby
I can't stop talkin' about love, or my baby
I can't stop talkin' about love, my baby, uh, my baby, my baby, yeah
Unnh, push, push, push yeah, push, push

Yep, went to the Dr. this morning. Was up and down all night. Still feverish this morning.
He perscribed Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim = SMZ-TMP DS tabs
1 tablet, with food and lots of water for the rest of my life. I hate when I screw up like that. Oh well, still feel weak and tired, won't get much done today.

Omedetou !!!!!
(congratulations)
to Kinomida/Yamchaglomper
Her site for Marron and Yamcha at www.kinomiville.net turns one year old.
I whipped 5 lines for the boat tonight. We put the boat in the water on Saturday. Michael and i wanted to have more lines for tying off and docking than we did last year.
Here is how I whipped http://www.tpub.com/steelworker2/45.htm.

Marina has loosened up a bit. She used to yell at me if I sang the "Hamtaro" ending theme. Today though she sang it with me and we did Hamtaro's dance with him too. That was fun.
I've been having computer trouble again. Too many cookies, so I got rid of them, now none of the sites will remember me after I sign in and Yahoo sometimes doesn't even let me sign in. What a pain in the butt.
I fixed the blue flowered mandarin collared blouse I made a while back, today. What happened is I made the orange linen skirt then I made the orange floral blouse from the mandarin collared blouse pattern. But I I didn't give it a collar and I didn't put all that facing and interfacing into it. It came out well. So then I went and measured a mandarin collared dress I bought and used that to shrink the collar on the blue flowered top and removed some of the facing. It fits better now. Live and learn.
I have been a little "blue" the last couple of days. I watched "Paradise" and "Sin" on Trigun and they got to me. I knew it was coming and I'd read all about it but Nicholas D. Wolfwoods death scene was so intense it still got me all worked up. I watched it twice in a row. Then the whole thing with Vash crying and having to kill Legato. Sheesh, this series started out so light hearted and now it has turned so dark and sad.
They are supposed to come and do the roof tomorrow. I really hope this goes off without a hitch. I want to put some plants in the garden and maybe start the vegetable garden this weekend. Cross my fingers. Maybe I will file my comic books tomorrow too. Marina and I finished bagging the loose ones last weekend when Michael was away.
So much to do, so little time.

Just to go along with all that SARS stuff I posted. I'm not worried I'll catch it or anything. I wan't planning any trips anytime soon, I'm too broke. It is just that people have been saying that WHO ismaking to big a deal about it. I do not think so. What other infectious disease has such a high mortality rate? Sure you are more likely to die in a car crash but billions of people drive everyday. Billions don't catch SARS. In this day and age there is no reason that any disease that can be controlled shouldn't be.
I can't seem to find any easy numbers for death rates for oldfashioned , ordinary infectious diseases. Maybe tomorrow.
I wrote 4 auctions, 5 to go. I had to wash one outfit it had some shmutz on it, but it came right off and looks great.
Michael went to ride his bike after dinner. Time to get the kid ready for bed. I have a lot of laundry todo tonight and i have to remember to tape Trigun.
TTFN
Wired News: Docs Wrangle Over SARS Death Rate
this is interesting too, the SARS deathrate may be higher
Yahoo! News - More SARS deaths as expert warns of 10 percent mortality rate
I'm looking for death rates for other comunicable diseases where quarentines were used in the past.
Here is the link for KELI radio http://www.keliradio.com/
I posted some pics on my photo blog (look to the right).
I'm setting up auctions for some summer clothes, dresses mostly. I hope they sell well.
Listening to: KELI radio, Tulsa Oklahoma, on the web. Oldies.
I love internet radio. You can hear it all.

I started out doing some online research on Enka. Enka is a traditional type of popular music from Japan. It is not very westernized and can be summed up as Japanese torche songs. The subjects tend to be melancholy and the mood is not jovial. Anyway, I got a handful of clips off the net and in my searches I found another japanese musical artist who isn't into enka.
His name is Kazuo Yoda. I really like his voice. This a link to his home page. http://www.geocities.co.jp/MusicStar-Piano/6954/profile.html
I usually use Babelfish to translate japanese pages so I can get an idea of what is written. The translations suck really but some times you can get the drift.
And thanks to everyone who commented on my new layout. I appreciate it. I might put a link to some Japanese flute music so you can hear what Goemon might be sounding like. I wish I could get a sound clip from the "Twilight Gemini". That is the movie that this shot is taken from.

Another holiday over and a week of school vacation to come.
On friday the roofing company called and postponed our roof job for the third time. They are supossed to call on monday and give us a definite date for the roof to be fixed. I am getting impatient I emptied out Marina's room over a week ago in preparation of the new skylight and then the remodeling of her room. All the stuff is in the living room still. House feels very messy.
Tomorrow I am going to start sewing Marina's costume for her school play. She is play the evil witch in "Snow White". I bought 5 yards of black cotton fabric in walmart last week and some notions. I hope it doesn't take me more than this week. I made a pair of slacks on Sat. and a long tank style tunic top. I'll post pictures when I do the hems. on Fri. I made a tank tunic to go with my sarong. My hakama are done. I have the white fabric to make the kusode or kimone-shita which I will do soon. After I make my orange striped beach cover-up.
I need to do some grocery shopping tomorrow too. Marina is getting grumpy that there is no ramen in the house for her. We are low on cereal too, another staple in this house. I think I will make beansprouts tomorrow, I grew some and cleaned them over the weekend.
I still have to finish doing my account books for my auctions. I hate the tedium of putting everything into spreadsheets, but if I don't I don't know what the heck I've done. I am way behind. I need to post some auctions next week too. I have been so lax. I have some cool vintage dresses to list for the summer. I should pull out all the summer stuff I can find to list right away.

I'm thinking of adding a photo journal page to this blog. Maybe I'll take pictures of the same places regularly so we can watch them change over the seasons or something like that. That and local points of interest. I'll ask Michael what he thinks I should photograph.

TRIGUN
I've watched 3 full episodes so far. It is a fun anime. Funny and silly too. I enjoy watching Vashes antics, he is like a cross between James (Pokemon) and Tenchi (Tenchi Muyo). He is so cute even when he is being a dork.

My second favorite character so far is Milly. If I had to be one of the girls, not Vash, I would be Milly, I think she is funny and I would like to be big and strong too. Who wouldn't??

Things I've been reading (beside fanfics and comics ofcourse):
1. Akira #4 - This was a good TPB, this one had me going right from the begining and it was exciting, even for Akira. Well this ine is Manga but I buy the TPB so It feels like a book to me.
2. Three "Dear America" novels, I buy them read them and then save them for my daughter. They are very light reading but interesting nonetheless.
a.A Journey to a New World (1620)
b. Land of the Buffalo Bones (1873)
c. Mirror , Mirror on the Wall (1932)
3. Haven't finished "The Return of the King" yet, I like to read it and actually pay attention and I am almost done.
Diagnosis:
Asthmatic Bronchitis
The Dr. gave me a inhaler..Albuterol...I'll see if I keep using it, it made me feel dizzy and tired afterward, at least I think it was that. He said take DM cough syrup and gave me an antibiotic .......Zithromax.........I've never taken this before and actually I haven't taken any antibiotics in quite some time so we will see how it goes. My colon is already rebelling..............or maybe that is just leftover from the stomach virus. I have a follow up next week. I hate being sick.

Damn, Damn, Damn, sick again.
I had miso soup yesterday for lunch and then we went out to run some errands. While in the price club getting a new composter we all had big salted pretzles. I new it would screw up our eating schedual but hey. Anyway at about 6pm I made Michael and I champagne cocktails, I used this sparkling wine, it was a little too sweet. Anyway we had a light dinner and did the usual evening stuff. At about 11pm I realized I didn't feel well. I felt bloated and yucky in the gut. It kept disturbing my sleep all night, MIchael said my temp felt normal even though I felt chilly.
This morning I woke up and had a GI event. Was achey all over and not hungry at all. I ate 1 slice of rye bread. Definetly off my feed there. After I worked out I layed down for a little and read a little then I felt cold again. Took my temp. 99.5. Sick. So I took some tylenol and had a cup of tea.
My mother came over. Funny story: Yesterday before we went out my mother calls me and says the tape I lent my father wasn't working. She wasn't very clear so I told her to bring it back and i would straighten it out. Later that night I fine out that on the tape I gave my father of Metropolis the anime, they had been watching some live action thing that I probably taped before or after the anime. They swear of course tht they rewound the tape all the way. So today when she gets here the tape is at the end wayyyyyyyyyyyy past the anime and they had been watching Moon 44 , What ever that is. So I rewind the tape alllllll the way and tell her to try again. This is the 21st century and my folks still are boggled by the VCR.
I have to go feed the newts and take a nap. The tylenol seems to have kicked in.

I decided to take this quizz before I watched TRigun, so I wouldn't fudge the results. So this is natural and off the cuff. I won't know if this feels right for a while.

Ok, so I've been watching the Metro channel for days now. I've been hooked by their 52 days of Full Frontal Fashion. Some of the designers or cool, some just suck and a few are great. My biggest wow so far has been Zang Toi. His stuff was to die for. It all had a japanese influence and was just too luxurious and I would have worn almost all of it myself. You can see some of what I was lusting over here. I also liked Valentino's stuff and Chado Ralph Rucci's evening wear was lovely.

Watched Cowboy Bebop - Knockin on Heavens Door. It was good. Not too predictable. Not enought Jet for my tastes unfortunately. My fave lyrics form the movie:
Pushing the Sky
-Words by jinghiskanman
-Music and Arranged by Kanno Yoko
Don't wanna be the one to pop your cherry, girl
Just jump a train that will bring you back to mama's side
Knock on, knock on
Knock on the sky
You keep on knockin' better ask yourself why
Knock on, knock on
Buyin' a one way ticket out of your mind
Knock on, knock on
Knock on the sky
You keep on knockin' better ask yourself why
You keep on pushin' and you will see my chilly yellow eyes
Only one more time
Don't wanna get your teddy bear mad at me, girl
So get your pretty slippers on and dance out of here
Knock on, knock on
Knock on the sky
You keep on knockin' better ask yourself why
Knock on, knock on
Be happy living in your nuclear life
Knock on, knock on
Knock on the sky
You keep on knockin' better ask yourself why
You keep pushin' and you will feel my frozen beastly bite
Only one more time
Pushing the sky

I like Sagara Sanosuke, yes I do.
Rurouni Kenshi is turning out to be a pretty good anime so far. I like the animation and artwork. the music is good too. They pull the same trick as Zoids does. They play this great theme music whenever Kenshin goes into a battle or at least has an important confrontation. It gets your pulse up.

My throat hurts. I am making soman noodles and soup for dinner. I am going to have warm sake with it for my throat. I put shitake mushrooms in the soup and cabbabe , nori , peas , carrots , ginger , beef broth ,soysauce and mirin. MMMMMMMM good!
I've been hungry all day.
Ok, I guess I have to say something about the war. Me personally....well, I remember thinking that they should have put an end to Saddams regeim back during the Gulf War. I knew it would come back to haunt us. I also hope someone is keeping an eye on North Korea, that guy is out there too. Any country in europe who thinks that they are immune to terrorist attacks is just lying to themselves, they might not be on the top of the list but they are all on the list. Extremists pose a threat to everyone and any country who can't get along with the rest of the world is a threat too.
This for anyone who thought the era of international spies was dead. Very interesting.

Ratz, I just realized we are going out tonight with the kid so I can't get too loaded. Oh well, I'm looking for mixed drinks with scotch.
The top 16 ways to know you are obsessed with Lupin III............
16. You call every man you see in a trench coat "Pops".
15. You tend to drive on the sidewalk more often then on the road.
14. You like to sit on the floor cross-legged with a big stick against
your shoulder.
13. You sleep with a fedora on.
12. You find yourself adding the word "friggin'" to every sentence you speak.
11. You filled your closet with ties and red, green and pink sport coats, and wear them all.
10. You grow really long sideburns.
9. You stuff your bra with party balloons.
8. You sit and drink sake just about anywhere.
7. You always have a bottle of scotch with you.
6. You find yourself kissing the air every time you try and get near your girlfriend.
5. You knee your boyfriend in the chin when he tries to kiss you.
4. You holler "Fuji-cakes" when you see your girlfriend in a crowd and chase after her.
3. You are always telling your boyfriend to "grow up".
2. You believe that they should sell bent cigarettes.
1.You actually went searching on the internet for Lupin Yaoi stories.

How to Have Fun:
1. Get as many tapes of Lupin III as you can lay your grubby little hands on. TV shows, TV specials, Movies , OVA's whatever.
2. Get a bottle of Scotch.
3. Watch and drink.
4. I ain't friggin jokin'.
This is obviously my latest "thang". The music from Lupin ( all the music damn it!) is great too.
I need to earn more money so I can buy more Lupin crap. Or maybe I will just pull a heist of some sort.
Fave quote so far......"Am I loaded or is the ceiling getting closer?"-Jigen

Almost forgot, I saw my first robin of the season yesterday. It was around the block from my house and he was hopping around in someones lawn. It has always been a competition of sorts with my husband and I. Who ever sees the first robin gets bragging rights. I worked a job once in the Ecology and Evolution Department at SUNY Stony Brook. They always kept a list on one of the bulletin boards in the hall and anyone who saw the first spring migratory birds would write down where and when and what they saw and take credit on the sheet of paper.
Got alot to do today. The roofing guy is coming around to check out the flat roof and answer some question.
The house is screaming clean me too. I should clean the window jams in the bedrooms and in the dinning room too.

Happy Fat Tuesday.
I got a perfect report at the dentist. Lots of Xrays no cavaties and my teeth were "very clean".
Monday, March 03, 2003
I boiled the chicken to defrost it and I made the roux for the gumbo for tomorrow. I will put everything in the crockpot before I go out.
I feel a little better now. It is weird. I get this really sick /weak feeling al over and if I exercise and drink lots of water I feel better. I haven't felt this in a long time though. Gonna get some sleep.
Today is Girls Day in Japan. I'm going to look for some pictures on the net.
I made too much batter for my Kings Cake in my bread machine and it over flowed while rising. What a mess. I hope it turns out alright.

I still can't seem to get Marina to cklean up behind herself. She whines so much when I ask her to clean something up. Sigh.
ok, here are the pictures of the MadiGras outfit I made. The skirt is a wrap skirt and is lined and has fring on the side and bottom. The vest is a japanese style and is lined with tassle ties in the front.

Ok here I am reading something and laughing my butt off when I realize something. I was doing Ray Liotta's laugh. Actually I do his laugh quite often, you know, the big loud goodfellas laugh. There is one other famous laugh I do frequently, the Richard Dryfus giggle laugh. Ok, so I'm weird. ps, read Doms rant today in Megatokyo. Then tell me what laugh you used.
Here are some pictures of some of the things I'v been sewing.
This is a kimono blouse with a long skirt underneath. The kimono is made of a sheer fabric and is not lined.
This is a long tunic top made of cotton. It buttons down the front.
I'll be wearing my madigras out fit soon so whe nI do I'll take pics of that and post those too.
Back to work.
Tuesday, February 25, 2003
Now I'm going to play dress up with the stuff I've sewn and have Michael take pictures so I can post them here.

You are BUG! Absorbed in your own idea of the world around you, you often find yourself immune to the foolhardiness and vindictive behaviour of others. Although you have a tendency to cross the line and offend others with your behaviour, your pure intentions are obvious.
